Abstract

• The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in May 2020 reached 1 visit, decreased by 94.12 percent compared to those who came in April 2020 reaching 17 visits. Similarly, when compared with the same month in 2019, the number of foreign tourists in May 2020 decreased by 99.99 percent, from 16,184 visits in May 2019 to 1 visit.

• In May 2020, tourists from the United States were the most visitors with 1 visit or 100.00 percent of the total tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of five-star hotels in Sumatera Utara in May 2020 reached an average of 13.82 percent, up 1.89 points compared to April 2020 of 11.93 percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star hotels in May 2020 reached 1.91 days, or up 0.16 points compared to April 2020.

• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during May 2020 reached 3,593 people, down 87.77 percent compared to April 2020 which reached 29,386 people.

• The number of passengers of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation in May 2020 recorded 0 people or no passengers, down 100.00 percent compared to the previous month of 227 people.
