• The number of foreign tourists visiting foreign tourists in Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in March 2020 reached 7,832 visits, a decrease of 49.03 percent compared to those arriving in February 2020 reaching 15,367 visits. Similarly, when compared with the same month in 2019, the number of foreign tourists in March 2020 decreased by 63.73 percent, from 21,594 visits in March 2019 to 7,832 visits.
• In March 2020, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the most visitors with 4,042 visits or 51.61 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Sumatera Utara in March 2020 reached an average of 29.20 percent, down 16.04 points compared to February 2020 of 45.24 percent.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in star hotels in March 2020 reached 1.53 days, or did not increase compared to February 2020.
• The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara via Kualanamu International Airport during March 2020 reached 172,348 people, down 24.28 percent compared to February 2020 which reached 227,602 people.
• The number of passengers of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation departing in March 2020 was 6,261 people, down 36.03 percent compared to the previous month of 9,788 people.
