Abstract

The economy of Padang Lawas Utara Regency in 2020 compared to the previous year grew by 1.14 percent. Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by the information and communication business sector at 9.06 percent. Followed by electricity and gas fields at 6.29 percent and real estate fields at 3.78, water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities at 3.54 percent.

Under the expenditure approach, the consumption expenditure component of changes in inventory reached the highest growth at 22.23 percent, followed by non-profit institutions consumption expenditure component at 0.50 percent and the household consumption expenditure component at 0.61 percent.
Three business fields that gave a dominant role to the North Padang Lawas Regency GRDP in 2020, namely: agriculture, forestry, and fisheries by 36.68 percent, manufacturing by 20.18 percent and water supply and construction by 14.30 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the household consumption expenditure component (PKRT) gave the largest contribution of 59.09 percent, following the gross fixed capital formation component (PMTB) of 23.55 percent and the government consumption expenditure component of 8.31 percent.
Nominally, Padang Lawas Utara Regency GRDP in 2020 based on the current price of Rp. 12,189.68 billion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp. 8,322.51 billion.
