• The economy of Padang Lawas Utara Regency in 2019 compared to the previous year grew by 5.61 percent. Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by the information and communication business sector at 8.41 percent. Followed by government administration, defense and compulsory social security at 7.67 percent and mining and quarrying business fields at 7.22, transportation and warehousing at 7.05 percent.
• Under the expenditure approach, the consumption expenditure component of private non-profit institutions reached the highest growth at 9.12 percent, followed by the gross fixed capital formation component at 7.86 percent and the household consumption expenditure component at 4.82 percent.
• Three business fields that gave a dominant role to the North Padang Lawas Regency GRDP in 2019, namely: agriculture, forestry, and fisheries by 35.76 percent, processing industries by 19.74 percent and construction by 15.29 percent. While in terms of expenditure, the household consumption expenditure component (PKRT) gave the largest contribution of 61.11 percent, following the gross fixed capital formation component (PMTB) of 24.58 percent and the government consumption expenditure component of 8.72 percent.
• Nominally, Padang Lawas Utara Regency GRDP in 2019 based on the current price of Rp. 11,619.73 billion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp. 8228.45 billion.
