Abstract

The increase in HDI (IPM) for Padang Lawas Utara Regency 2023 will occur in all dimensions, including longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living.
HDI growth in 2023 will slow down from the previous year. The dimensions forming HDI that are experiencing accelerated growth are knowledge, longevity and healthy living.
In the dimension of longevity and healthy living, babies born in 2023 have the hope of living up to 71.57 years which increases of 0.25 years compared to those born in the previous year. The data source for life expectancy at birth uses the SP2020-LF's results.
In the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling (HLS) for residents aged 7 years increased by 0.30 years compared to the previous year, from 13.23 to 13.53 years, while the average length of schooling (RLS) for residents aged 25 years and over increased 0.09 years, from 9.46 years to 9.55 years in 2023.
The dimension of decent living standards as measured by the average real expenditure per capita per year (adjusted), increased by 168 thousand rupiah (1.61 percent) compared to the previous year.
