Abstract

The 2022 HDI increase occurs in all dimensions, both longevity and healthy living, knowledge, and a decent standard of living. The HDI for North Padang Lawas Regency in 2022 is 70.93 or a growth of 1.17 percent (an increase of 0.82 points) compared to the previous year's results.

HDI growth in 2022 has accelerated from the year

previously. All dimensions that make up HDI have increased, especially longevity and healthy living and a decent standard of living.

In terms of longevity and healthy living, babies born in 2022 have an expectation of being able to live up to 67.53 years, an increase of 0.31 years compared to those born in the previous year.

On the knowledge dimension, the expected length of schooling for people aged 7 and over increased 0.19 years compared to the previous year, from 13.04 to 13.23 years, while the average length of schooling for people aged 25 and over increased 0.08 years, from 9.38 years to 9.46 years in 2022.

The dimension of a decent standard of living as measured by the average real expenditure per capita (adjusted) increased by 392 thousand rupiah (3.90 percent) compared to the previous year.
